LEOPARD - Beast of the Night

We tracked this magnificent creature for an hour before we spotted him at a watering hole with blood from a fresh kill still on his lower jaw. After drinking for what seemed like 15 minutes straight, he stopped and glared at us. I’ll never forget the feeling of getting stared down by this ferocious carnivore as he walked toward us, then passing less than 3 feet behind our vehicle. We sat motionless in the back seat of the safari truck, gripped with exhilarating fear. I was thankful he had a full belly.
